    Our Founder

    Core Energetics was founded by Dr. John Pierrakos and is based upon his work with Alexander Lowen (cofounder of Bioenergetics), theories of Wilhelm Reich, and incorporates the Pathwork lectures.

    Our work is based on the basic premises that emotional conflicts which are unresolved (and often repressed) are held in chronically tense muscles and tissue. Chronically tense muscles hold negativity – unconscious negative intent and negative beliefs. Part of the healing is to express the inhibited feelings so that the impulse locked in the muscles can be released.

    We work on many different levels : with body, emotions, mind, will and spirit.
